Regional Priorities Front and Center as PM Drew Meets U.S. Secretary of State Rubio with OECS and Bahamian Leaders
Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 6, 2025 (PMO) —Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, today, May 6th, joined six other Caribbean leaders in a high-level meeting with United States Secretary of State, Hon. Marco A. Rubio.
The meeting, which brought together the Prime Ministers of Antigua and Barbuda, The Bahamas, Dominica, Grenada, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, focused on advancing critical areas of shared interest between the United States and the Caribbean region.
Prime Minister Drew described the discussions as “frank, focused, and forward-looking,” noting that, “St. Kitts and Nevis remains committed to ensuring that the voice of the Caribbean region continues to be heard and we [Caribbean leaders] will continue to work collaboratively to secure tangible outcomes for our people.”
Prime Minister Drew was accompanied by Foreign Minister, the Rt. Hon. Denzil Douglas, and St. Kitts and Nevis’ Ambassador to the US, H.E. Jacinth Henry-Martin.
