Foreign Minister Meets with Cuban Ambassador to Commemorate 29 Years of Diplomatic Relations
Basseterre, Saint Kitts (8th May 2024) – Yesterday, The Right Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas, Minister of Foreign Affairs, hosted His Excellency David Rivero Perez, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Saint Kitts and Nevis, in a courtesy meeting to mark the upcoming 29th anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between the two nations on 10 May 2024.
During the meeting, both dignitaries commended the efforts of their respective governments in fostering a strong and fruitful relationship over the past 29 years. They also discussed the potential for collaborative efforts in areas beyond the traditional fields of health and education.
As both countries approach the milestone of a 30-year partnership in 2025, there is much anticipation for the continued growth and development of the relationship. The meeting between Minister Douglas and Ambassador Perez highlights the enduring friendship between Saint Kitts and Nevis and Cuba and sets the stage for further cooperation in the years ahead.
