ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA, JAMAICA AND NICARAGUA SEND INDEPENDENCE 40 CONGRATULATORY MESSAGES TO ST. KITTS & NEVIS
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, September 20, 2023 (SKNIS) – Countries continue to pour in congratulatory messages to St. Kitts and Nevis on its 40th anniversary of Independence.
The Hon. Gaston Browne, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda wrote to Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew congratulating the Government and people of St. Kitts and Nevis.
“On behalf of the Government and the people of Antigua and Barbuda, I wish to convey my sincerest congratulations to you, the Government and people of Saint Kitts and Nevis on this occasion of your 40th Anniversary of Independence.

“Historically, a 40th Anniversary has been commonly referred to as a “Ruby Anniversary”, symbolizing protection, prosperity, and vitality,” Prime Minister Browne said while adding that the independence theme is “synergetic and speaks to the undertakings required to make small island states economically and societally viable for future generations in such a dynamic global environment.”
“I take this opportunity to commend the strides your nation and people have made thus far and look forward to collaborating with you bilaterally and multilaterally in regional and international fora, contributing to the betterment of our people in the Caribbean region,” he added.
Additionally, writing to Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, Prime Minister of Jamaica, the Most Honourable Andrew Holness said:
“On behalf of the Government and people of Jamaica, I extend heartiest congratulations to the Government and people of the Federation of Saint Christopher and Nevis on the occasion of your 40th Anniversary of Independence.

Also, the President of Nicaragua, H.E. Daniel Ortega Saavedra and First Lady of Nicaragua, Rosario Murillo, wrote to Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Terrance M. Drew and expressed best wishes to the Government and people of St. Kitts and Nevis.
