PRIME MINISTER DR. DREW TO MAKE HIS FIRST PRESENTATION TO THE UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY TODAY, FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 23
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, September 23, 2022 (SKNIS) – Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, the Honourable Dr. Terrance Drew is set to address world leaders and the wider international community when he makes his first presentation to the General Debate of the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly later today, Friday, September 23, 2022.
Prime Minister Dr. Drew, who is currently leading the Federation’s delegation to the UN General Assembly, is scheduled to make his presentation during the 11th Plenary Session at 5:00pm.
While in New York, the St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister has participated in several high-level meetings on the margins of the UNGA. Some of these include the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) Leaders’ Breakfast Meeting on Multi Vulnerability Index, and bilateral meetings with the President of Kenya, H.E. William Ruto; the Prime Minister of Sint Maarten, H.E. Ms. Silvera Jacobs and the President of Kosovo, H.E. Ms. Osmani-Sadriu.
The 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly is convened under the theme, “A watershed moment: transformative solutions to interlocking challenges”.
