POST- CABINET BRIEFING FOR 20th & 23rd MAY, 2022

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 24, 2022 (SKNIS): The Team Unity Cabinet of Ministers met on Friday, May 20 and Monday, May 23, 2022, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris. During their meeting, Cabinet deliberated on several matters of national importance to the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.

The Cabinet considered the fiscal situation within the Federation.The Cabinet was advised that GAE (Government Auxiliary Employees) had already been paid their salary increases and their retroactive pay.The Cabinet was updated on matters relating to the arrears within certain utilities. The Cabinet moved expeditiously to ensure that such utilities should be functioning at optimum levels for the common good.The Cabinet approved submissions that would redound to the benefit of people and small businesses within the Federation.
