NEVIS MAKES NEWS AS IT READIES TO WELCOME INTERNATIONAL TRAVELERS THIS WINTER
Charlestown, Nevis November 23, 2021.. Since the reduction of COVID-19 quarantine requirements from 4 days to one, and in hopeful anticipation of the lifting of quarantine requirements entirely when it is safe to do so, the Nevis Tourism Authority has been busy advocating for the return of international travelers to the island.
Jadine Yarde, CEO of the Nevis Tourism Authority, was a featured speaker at the 2nd annual Caribbean Future Summit, the world’s most exclusive event featuring tech investors, entrepreneurs, and influencers dedicated to the continued advancement of the Caribbean. Yarde, along with Nutmeg and Sage blog author and Aazhganan Project founder, Shanese Anne Steele; Executive Director/Travel of AFAR Media, Barry Brown; and Executive Director of the St. Eustatius Tourism Development Foundation, Charles Lindo; spearheaded the panel discussion on “Caribbean Perspectives & Career Dialogues.” The Summit, held on November 5, welcomed 1,000 digital delegates from around the world, positioning Nevis as a thought leader within the Caribbean Tourism industry.
“I always consider it a great honor to represent Nevis,” said Yarde. The island is still relatively unexplored by the global travel community, and I love having the opportunity to share all that Nevis has to offer with prospective visitors and marketing collaborators.”
The Nevis Tourism Authority also launched an exclusive partnership with Stacey Martin Lifestyle, a new Canadian female and black-owned luxury loungewear brand, this month. The union was marked with the release of Martin’s inaugural limited-edition collection, “Go There – Remember Where You Wore Me,” which artfully embodies the chic, yet relaxed style inspired by Martin’s Nevisian heritage and love for the island. Jadine Yarde appeared with Yvette Thomas-Henry, General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Nevis, in a Livescale virtual event to introduce the collection, which is made solely from eco-conscious materials and packaged for sale in reusable cloth bags. As part of this unique designer/destination collaboration, the bags will become available for separate purchase later in the season, with 100% of the proceeds going to a Nevisian community organization in support of Nevis’ reduction of the use of single-use plastic. On the media front, Nevis was featured in the November 4th issue of Travel Pulse, when Yarde was interviewed by Brian Major, Managing Editor covering the Caribbean, during an extensive media tour in New York City. Yarde took this opportunity to highlight Nevis’ unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of its residents and visitors. She also expressed optimism about the upcoming winter travel season giving examples of the destination’s progress, including the recent launch of a new consumer website and increased visitor access via new daily flights from Miami to St. Kitts.
Taking to the airwaves, Yarde also appeared on Sarah Dandashy’s “Say Yes to Travel” podcast, as broadcast November 12 on MarketScale. The episode’s title, “Will Ecotourism Factor into People’s Travel Plans in 2022?” posed a question that Yarde was excited to answer as she described Nevis’ boundless natural beauty along with the abundance of experiences visitors can choose from to explore and be part of the island’s tranquil environment and culture such as the “Around the Garden” tour. Yarde went on to reference special annual events including Culturama and the Mango Festival, which speak to the essence of authenticity which Nevis has become best known for. The segment concluded with Yarde’s accounting of the Nevis Sustainability Project and its commitment to recycling and reducing single-use plastics throughout the destination.
The Nevis Tourism Authority continues to attract the attention of top-tier travel influencers and media as the result of its ambitious efforts to grow the destination’s share of the Caribbean tourism market.Click for Nevis Island WebsiteThe post NEVIS MAKES NEWS AS IT READIES TO WELCOME INTERNATIONAL TRAVELERS THIS WINTER first appeared on SKNIS.
